Covid-19 Level 4 grips

  • Doubles play outdoors for adults and U18s is permitted (in line with permission for non-contact sport to take place), but these players must ensure they maintain physical distancing at all times where they are not from the same household or extended household
  • Organised outdoor tennis activity for children aged under 12 years can involve up to 30 participants (including the coach/es) at any one time as part of a ‘field of play bubble’
  • Organised outdoor tennis activity for adults and young people aged 12 and over can involve up to 15 participants (including the coach/es) at any one time as part of a ‘field of play bubble’
  • Outdoor competition for both adults and children is permitted within their usual club or facility environment, subject to the same field of play bubble limits. This does not include inter club competition

  • Players can travel freely for organised sport and physical activity or informal exercise within their own Local Authority area
  • Adults (18 years or over)
    • Adults living in a Level 3 or Level 4 area can travel to take part in tennis activity in your local authority area (or up to 5 miles from the boundary of your local authority area), but you should travel no further than you need to reach a place to play
  • Children & Young People (17 years or under)
    • Participants aged 17 years or under can travel to and from Level 0, 1, 2 and 3 areas to take part in organised sport, physical activity, training and competition.
    • Children and young people may travel into or out of a Level 4 area for organised activity if that is where their sport, club or activity usually takes place
