Playing Times and Calendar

Strathblane Tennis Club members enjoy social tennis at set times of the week. At other times, the courts may be reserved for league matches - 2017 home matches are now viewable on Calendar - , or coaching. Apart from those times, members are free to arrange with one another to play whenever suits them. View Calendar here. (click on "Week" tab for best view of calendar)

The courts are usable Mondays - Saturdays 9 am till 10.30 pm and Sundays 11 am till 10.30 pm, with restrictions as below. Floodlights are operated by a coin meter. Floodlights can be used Mondays-Saturdays (not Sundays) from 2pm until closing time.

Adult Playing Times

From 7 pm onwards adult play takes precedence over junior play, but juniors of a suitable standard are encouraged to join in with the adults (and our "suitable standard" is really not high!)

Also set aside for adult play are the Club Times:

  • Monday evenings from around 7pm
  • Wednesday evenings from around 7 pm
  • Friday mornings from 11am-1pm and
  • Saturday afternoons from 2 pm onwards.

Family Playing Time - NEW for 2018-19

  • Saturdays 1-2pm has been set aside for families to play together.

Parent members: your children are welcome to stay around the club on Saturday afternoon, while you enjoy the adult social tennis, subject to proper behaviour and supervision. (The club is not responsible for the care of children at these times)

Junior Playing Times:

(The club is not responsible for the care of children at these times - supervised junior sessions may be arranged in future, watch this space)

Mon-Fri --------------- 9 am till 6 pm* (except Friday 11am-1pm)

Saturday -------------- 9 am till 2 pm*

Sunday ----------------- 11 am onwards* (except on coaching days)

* very occasionally adult matches may be scheduled for these times. If this is the case, a notice will be posted in the clubhouse window  and on the online calendar

We would also like to provide regular sessions for all junior members but this depends on a few volunteers willing to lead and supervise! Information on this and other activities will be posted in the clubhouse window and in the calendar below.

An accompanying parent/carer is welcome to play with their junior member, when there are no suitable partners for them to play with.

School Holiday Pass

The School Holiday Pass allows a junior to play during the daytime on weekdays only, for the duration of the school summer holidays.

Match Times

The summer league matches often mean that the courts are reserved on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30 pm onwards in the months of April, May and June. Information on this will be posted in the clubhouse window and in the calendar below.
