Dear all

It’s been a busy first month for the new Committee, and we have an action packed summer ahead of us. Here is an update of what’s been happening and what’s coming up:

• All our social media platforms are up and running – please check them out and send any feedback or ideas to socialmedia.shltc@gmail.com
• The Tennis Club Tournament is underway and the draw has been sent out from highfieldsclubtournament@gmail.com . Please keep Saturday, 8th September free – Finals Day - even if you aren’t taking part, this is our main social event and we want you all there!
• We held a very successful Street Party last Saturday which had 76 attendees and already has generated interest from new members
• Junior Tennis Club & Coach starts on Sat 9th June and runs between 09:00-11:00. Please bring your juniors along as this will be free for the summer for existing junior members, and only £3 per session for non-members. More to follow under separate cover
• Saturday Tennis Club Session moves to 14:00 – 17:00 from Saturday 9th June
• We are teaming up, Tennis and Boules Drinks on the lawn every first Sunday of the month so the next one for your diaries is next Sunday 3rd June from 16:00
• Our 2018 Social Calendar is now ready which will be displayed on all noticeboards and the website – copy also attached here. The first event will be from 19:00 on Wednesday, 20th June – this will be curry night with a twist so look out for a separate email on this
• A reminder that all Tennis members are automatically Boules members – come and try your hand on the pitch at Boules Club Sessions on Monday afternoons from 13:00 and Wednesday evenings (summer only) from 18:30
