Tom Warburton - Head Coach

I have over 6 years experience of coaching on very successful junior and adult programmes. Starting my coaching career in North & West Yorkshire, I have gained years of experience working with players of all ages and abilities. Now at Shooters Hill Tennis Club I am passionate about creating an inclusive and purpose driven environment for all aspiring tennis players at this club. 

Dave Harrild - LTA Level 4 Accredited+ Coach

"I have been a LTA level 4 qualified coach for 20 years. 6 years coaching at Blackheath Tennis Club (interim head coach 6 months). I have been at Shooters Hill for 11 years and been coaching full time for 2 years there. My coaching career started at Eltham Park South Community tennis in 2000. I have played for Kent County and have won singles doubles and mixed titles at Blackheath Tennis Club and multiple titles at Shooters Hill."

Matthew Snellin - LTA Level 3 Accredited Coach

"I grew up training and competing at Leeds Beckett, playing in ratings matches across the country for a number of years. Whilst studying at The University of Lincoln I made it onto the Men's first team and played in that team for my 3 years at the University. I started my coaching career in 2012 and am now a LTA accrediated level 3 coach. I have experience coaching players of all ages and abilities.

“I grew up playing tennis at Shooters Hill at the age of three and have gone on to represent Kent through all levels of junior competition. I have enjoyed taking on a coaching role at the club over the last two years, recently achieving a distinction in my LTA Level 2 coaching qualification. As a coach, I try to fully understand my players’ needs, allowing them to develop in the best way possible whilst enjoying the game.”

Yonas Campbell - LTA Level  2 Accredited Coach 

“I’ve been a Fully Accredited Level 2 Instructor for three years and am currently training for my Level 3 Coach qualification (due to be finished in February 2025). Before working at Shooters Hill, I spent one year at Globe Lawn Tennis Club in Belsize Park where I coached (part-time) many red, orange and yellow players. My last full-time job was working with SEND students at a secondary school in Colindale, North London, where I was for two years. At university, I played BUCS tennis and coached the Performance squads during my studies in history. An avid fan of the professional ATP circuit, I am always keeping up-to-date with tournaments and the latest technical and tactical developments. I specialise in helping to improve players’ serves and improving their psychological resilience. My favourite professional player since 2019 has been Jannik Sinner.”
