Junior Squash Squad had a Blast

Saturday, 10thNovember 2018

The Junior Squash Squad had an afternoon of skill tests, round robin matches, and lots of fun today.

The Squad attend coaching sessions every Saturday morning at the club, and this was an opportunity for them to compete against each other. But more importantly show off how they had improved their squash skills to their parents and family. Aged 4 to 14, the squad was grouped into different skill levels for the competition.

The winners were Martin Johnson, Scarlett Haigh and Joseph Eyre.

The junior coach, Kiran Parmar, said “It was really great to see the passion they all demonstrated for playing Squash and wanting to win. They all performed brilliantly and had a blast”.

The atmosphere and excitement through the afternoon was electric.  The supporting parents and families helped to create a real buzz. On court the squad, playing in their new Squad t-shirts, made the club come alive with their determination, focus and lots of laughter.

The squad is now looking forward to going to play juniors at other clubs in the North West. First outing is already booked to Haslingden Sports Centre on 2ndDecember 2018.
