Easy Access to Aerobic Exercise

.... at the level you choose!

Tennis is an aerobic form of exercise which can improve your general physical condition, coordination and sense of well-being.

Tennis at your own pace has all-round benefits for your health.

The impact of your feet on the ground can increase bone density and help to prevent osteoporosis in later life.    Striking the ball with the racquet strengthens arms and abdominal muscles in the same way.

Short bursts of intense exercise which occur during games of tennis have been shown to have a lasting effect on muscle tone and fat reduction.

Combined with load-bearing, resistance exercises using weights (not at the same time), these activities can improve general strength and help to mitigate the ravages of ageing.

Of course, if all that doesn't put you off, and you are still thinking of playing, it is advisable to have a general health-check from your GP.
