AGM 2026

A successful AGM for 2026 was held at Barrow Village Hall on Thursday March 19th.

There were the usual reports from the chairman, treasurer & captain. The general consensus was that the club are in a good position, both in terms of membership, finances, as well as maintainence of the courts.

A review of the playing side of the club focused on how individual teams had performed in their respective leagues, as well as details of internal club competitions & club nights.

A small increase in the annual subscription for 2026 was agreed at the meeting.

There was a discussion about the need to replace Courts 3 &4, which the committee are looking to undertake in 2026 & options available to the membership as to how they might want to contribute towards the costs of the new courts.

The club has also recently employed a new coach, Jamie Oakes, who was at the meeting & is looking to set up various coaching sessions from April, which will be bookable through clubspark.

The existing Chair, Treasurer & Secretary were re-elected for another year.

Following the formal part of the meeting there was an opportunity for members to meet socially over some food & wine. Many thanks to Felicity Pochin & Rowena Okell for providing the food.
