Doubles are back!

We are pleased to inform you that in-line with Government recommendations, the LTA have issued guidance for how we can re-introduce doubles play, from tomorrow - June 1st.

Whilst this is welcome news, we must emphasise the need to continue to accept certain restrictions when visiting the club.

These are outlined below;

- Doubles play is now allowed between four members from different households.
- Advice is to maintain a level of personal separation at all times.
- Courts must still be pre-booked. It is possible to make a booking for up to 90 mins at a time. We are now removing restrictions on the number of courts members can book per week and allowing bookings to be made up to 14 days in advance.
- The one-way system remains in place - please wait by the table tennis table until your court is free.
- Please alcohol-gel your hands before going onto the court and as you leave.
- It is now possible to share the same balls but of course it is even more important that you use hand gel before and after playing.
- Players should avoid using their hands to pick up balls from another court - please use your racket or foot to return them.
- Please avoid touching surfaces (net posts/ gates, court sweepers etc.) where possible.
- The clubhouse remains off-limits except for essential visits to the loo or to operate floodlights.
- Please do not congregate or socialise at the club.
- Social tennis and other club sessions resume from Tuesday 2nd June. It is especially important that members keep their distance at these sessions, for example, if waiting off court.
- Group coaching sessions will resume with restricted numbers - Anthony will provide more information on this in due course.
- If you experience any symptoms of coronavirus within 14 days of playing at the club then you MUST contact us urgently by emailing Asha on secretarytltc@gmail.comand immediately follow government test & trace guidelines.
