Which Group Should I join?

This page is dedicated to help you chose the right coaching group for yourself or your child. 

 

Please note that for the group coaching sessions all the balls will be provided. You will be required to bring a tennis racket and water bottle. 

Access to the courts is via Cromwell Road. The coach leading the group will let you in at the begining of the session. If you are running late or need to contact the coach, please message them directly. It's advised to obtain the coaches number after the first session, so that you can communicate with them directly for poor weather or any other changes. 

ADULTS 

Tennis Xpress 

This is a short course designed for people who have never played before or have not played in a very long time. 

Each week will feature a different shot. By the end of the course you should be happier with the basics and start to be able to play a game of doubles or singles. 

 

Cardio Tennis 

This course is a high energy fitness based session carried out on the tennis court. The aim is to keep you moving as much as possible with a varierty of tennis drills and excercises. This is a fun way to get a workout and play some tennis at the same time!

 

Adult Intermediate

This course is designed for people who have played before and are comfortable rallying, serving and have some basic knowledge of the game. This course will be based around a different shot/theme each week. This will help you improve your doubles in particular.  The first half of the session will be coaching based and the second half will be points based with mix around doubles. 

 

Adult Social 

This session is purely social doubles that will be organised by a coach. This is a great way to meet other players in your area and to play tennis in a friendly environment.

 

Ladies Morning 

This course is designed for ladies only and is mainly based around doubles.  The first half of the session will feature a different theme/shot each week and the second half will be match play based with lots of fun mix around doubles. This course is perfect for those who have played some tennis before, want to work on their doubles or meet some new faces. 

 

JUNIORS

Toilet access is near the pavillion, which is not visible from the courts. It is advised that parents stay on site, so that they can accompany their child to the facility if required.  The coach will not be able to do this. 

 

Tots (3-4 years old)

Half an hour of fun co-ordination, racket/ball skills and games to introduce your child to the sport.

 

Mini Red (5-8 years old)

Softer Red and Yellow balls are used for this course and a smaller net.  This helps to improve technique and get children rallying as soon as possible. Great course to get your child started in tennis.

 

Orange (8-9 years old)

Softer Orange and Yellow balls are used for this course. There is also a smaller size court.  This helps to improve technique and get children rallying as soon as possible.

 

Mini Green (9-10 years old)

Softer Green balls are used for this course. This helps to improve technique and get children rallying as soon as possible.

 

Yellow Ball (10-13 years old)

All sessions are designed to improve different shots and will cover a technical and tactical area of the game each week .

 

Yellow Ball (13+ years old)

All sessions are designed to improve different shots and will cover a technical and tactical area of the game each week.
