Last weekend, our Boys' and Girl's 9 & Under County Cup teams competed in the LTA event which was held at Nuffield Tennis Academy in Hull. 

9 & Girls Team - Captain Danielle Gallagher , Assistant Alison Kelly

Players -Myla Agard, Mollie Cui, Felicity Foulkes, Emillia Popova and Harper Walker.

The girls team played on Saturday taking on a very strong Durham & Cleveland team, with Mollie and Emiliia both winnng 4-3 securing a 4-2 win.The team then played Northumberland with a comprehensive 6-0  win. Next up were local rivals Yorkshire with the team knowing the winners of this would qualify for the National Finals at Nottingham later in the month. After the singles and doubles matches the scores were event a 3-3. This meant a doubles 10 point match which was a great contest but saw Yorkshire win.

The team did really well and finished runners up, a great achievment.

Players - James Farley, Oliver Pearson, Bensley Russell , Stefan Wierszyllowski

and Olafs Zvaigznitis.

The boys team played on Sunday taking on Durham & Cleveland winning 5-1.  Yorkshire were the next opponents with the team knowing it would be a tough battle, the boys all played amazingly to win 6-0! . Lastly the team took on Northumberland and won 4-2. The boys won the group and will now be playing in the Finals at Nottingham Tennis Centre on 15th March, good luck!

Well done to all the players and parents, a long day of tennis and great learning experience.
