The Tennis Lancashire County Cup teams had a busy weekend last weekend with the 14 & Under Boys competing in Carlisle and the 8 & Under Girls and Boys teams taking the court at Wirral Tennis Centre.

14 & Under Boys

Team             Stanislav Bogdanovic Brewer, Samuel De Lange, Kjell Jendis,  Alex Lambov, Oliver Nicholls and Sam Tyrer.

The boys made the trip fNorth to Carlisle on Friday afternoon giving them time for a practise on the courts at Chatsworth Tennis Centre, the location of the event.  The team started well beating Durham & Cleveland 6-0 and also Cumbria 6-0 on the Saturday, only losing 1 set.  The Sunday saw them continue their fine form beating Northumberland and North Wales.

8 & Under County Cup 

Girls A team   Raheli Adhikari, Mollie Cui, Harper Howard and Deborah Longe

Girls B team Myla Agard, Mia Davis , Patricia Grigorescu  and Harper Walker

Boys A Team   Eden Anders, Oscar Cullen, Maxwell Donaldson and Nithin Sailesh

Boys B Team   Zavier Brant , Alex Nicholls , James Sharrock, Stefan Wierszyllowski

It was a busy Saturday for our 8 & Under players at Wirral Tennis Centre where they took on teams from Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man. There was some great competitive matches and it was a great experience for our youngest players to be a part of.

The Boys A team beat Cheshire A team in the final 6-4 to be crowned champions and the B team finished 3rd beating the Cheshire B Team 7-3.

The Girls results were to close to call with our A team being crowned joint champions against Cheshire A team after having the same number of points, rubbers, sets and games!! The B team finished in 5th place.
