Well done to our 14 & Under Boys County Cup teams who took part in the LTA event at Corby Tennis Club last weekend. 

14 & Under Boys Team - Captain Phil Rimmer , Assistant Gabriel Belibi

Players - Alfred Belfrage, Joseph Dixon, Max Dutton, Laurence Glazier,  Max Heaton, Rafe McMillan. 

The boys had a tough first match against East of Scotland which results in a 0-6 loss despite Alfred and Joseph both losing in match tie breaks. Later in the day the boys played their singles matches against Hertfordshire with the score left at 1-3 over night after a win for Rafe and another close match tie break loss for Joseph. 

Sunday saw the boys finish the tie against Hertfordshire the the boys losing both double to finish 1-5. Now the round robin boxes were complete the boys played West of Scotland to see which County finished in 5th place and which in 6th. After tie break first sets in all the singles matches the boys managed to keep fighting winning all bar 1 singles match.  The Lancashire boys then won 1 doubles to seal teh victory 4-1. The team finished in 5th place.

Good luck to the Lancashire Girls team who qualified straight to the finals which takes place at Nottingham Tennis Centre 15th-17th May.
