On Thursday 24th April the  LTA held their National Awards at the National Tennis Centre in London.  Tennis Lancashire had 2 of their award winners nominated for LTA National Awards, 

• Mark Wilkinson - Offical of the Year

• Lancashire Tennis Championships -  Competition of the Year.

Several high-profile guests including the LTA’s Honorary President Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester attended the prestigious event, now in its 10th year, at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.

The ceremony was hosted by LTA President Sandi Procter and presented by GB Davis Cup Captain and Head of Men’s Tennis Leon Smith.

Also there to present the winners with their trophies was a host of celebrities including Sir Trevor McDonald alongside tennis star Sue Barker.

Although neither of our nominee's won it is a significant achievement to be even nominated.
