Coaching

At Tennis Revolution we have 6 coaches. Head Coach and Owner, Simon Yapp, is a Lawn Tennis Association Level 3 Accredited Coach.

We also have Lucas and Jodi who are LTA Level 1 coaches. Lucas has been working with me now for over  a year and has really developed a great relationship with the players. They love having Lucas as part of the team. Lucas is going to take his Level2 early next year and has become a very valuable member of the team. He has stepped up numerous times to run the sessions by himself.  Jodi is in her final year at West Lothian College, studying Sports Coaching and Development. Jodi has great experience working with young atheletes as she is currently also a Level2 Gymnastics coach.

Lauren has been with us since we came out of lockdown. She worked as an Early Years Practitioner for 5 years and also has experience with childrens football coaching for ages 3-8. Lauren is a valuable member of the team, I'd be lost without her! She is like a sponge and just absorbs everything she sees and hears. This allows me to confidently trust her with leading sessions. 

Holly has recently joined us and she found a love for sport at a young age and would love to inspire the younger generation to take up a sport. Holly's background is Dance and Gymnastics, and is currently coaching within this area as well her tennis coaching with us. Holly has a natural bond with the players and they have grown to love having Holly as one of the coaches. Holly is keen to study for her LTA Level 1 and when a course becomes available in Scotland she will be enrolling on this. 

Lewis is a fairly new to the team and has competed his Level2 training and is just waiting on the results. He's quickly grown into the role in his short time with us. His confidence at running the sessions and taking on more of a leadership role has been great to watch. Lewis is a fantastic tennis player and has won several LTA tournaments this year. This experience will really help him in his coaching role and allow him to help other players.
