Felix Bockelmann-Evans (David Lloyd Cardiff) and Bethan Gill (Llanelli) have won the South Wales Road to Wimbledon County Finals and will represent the county next month on the grass courts of the All England Club at the National Finals.
 

Over 30 schools and clubs across South Wales held tournaments with the winning and 2nd placed boy and girl progressing to the County Finals. Over the last two weekends, Cardiff Met University, Dinas Powys LTC, Radyr LTC and Bridgend LTC have hosted approximately 100 matches, resulting in two players acheiving the special prize.

Bethan will be hoping to build on her experience last year, when she also qualified for the National Finals. She said of her experience 'To get the opportunity to play in such a famous venue was an incredible experience, from the changes in surface to the in-depth tours, there was nothing that could fault it and I couldn’t think of another way I would like to make the most out of my tennis ability.'

For Felix, his dream of playing at Wimbledon has come true this year.
