Code of Conduct: Parents & Players

🎾 For Players

We expect all players to:

  • Arrive on time, ready to learn.
  • Be respectful to coaches, teammates and opponents.
  • Listen, try your best, and accept feedback.
  • Pick up balls and help tidy at the end of sessions.
  • Shake hands, show good sportsmanship, and support others.
  • Avoid throwing rackets, shouting, or pushing in line.

👨‍👩‍👧 For Parents & Guardians

We ask all parents/guardians to:

  • Support positive behaviours — at sessions and at home.
  • Talk to your child if they misbehave (e.g. racket throwing, not listening, bad language).
  • Reinforce respect, effort and fair play.
  • Let coaches lead — avoid sideline coaching or putting pressure on outcomes.
  • Back the coaches if behaviour needs addressing — we’re on the same team.
  • Help create a calm and positive sideline atmosphere.

Examples of support:

It’s okay to lose — what did you learn?

Remember to help tidy up after your session.

Throwing your racket isn’t how we behave at the club.

Well done for encouraging your teammate.

✅ In Return

We promise to provide a safe, supportive and fun coaching programme with experienced coaches who care about your child’s development — in tennis and in life.
