We are delighted to announce the launch of our new court booking system and coaching programme courtesy of ActiveAce at Vernon Park in Basford, Nottingham.
Investment from the Lawn Tennis Association and Nottingham City Council has seen the park courts repainted and relined and a new coded access gate installed making the courts accessible and sustainable year round.
The park boasts 4 floodhit hard courts with court 1 also utilising blended lines for mini tennis for under 8’s to also take place on site.
The new online booking system means you can use the courts as much as you like for just £30 a year per household or if you prefer to pay and play it’s £6 an hour per court which includes automatic use of the floodlights in the winter.

A new coaching programme has also been launched courtesy of local provider ActiveAce covering all ages and abilities from tots to adults.
The programme has a mixture of priced and free activities so that the courts remain accessible to everybody in some way.

Earlier in the year British Davis Cup player Dan Evans and world number 60; Aussie John Millman stunned local players by turning up for a hit one Saturday morning ahead of the Aegon Open tournament at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
They signed autographs, took selfies, fed a few balls for the kids and had a hit with Local Tennis League players!
Dan Evans recently took top 10 player Stan Wawrinka to 5 sets at the US Open and will once again represent Great Britain in the Davis Cup final against Argentina in Glasgow next weekend!
