Try tennis for free at a venue near you this weekend! There are loads of opportunities for you and your family to get on court this summer in Nottingham. Thousands of fantastic free events will be taking place across the country and it’s a great chance to have a go at tennis, as it doesn’t matter whether you’ve never picked up a racket before in your life or whether you think you might be a tennis superstar in the making. (Roger Federer? pah, who’s he?)
Rackets and balls will be provided so you only need to bring yourself (and a few friends if you want to - honestly the more the merrier, we won’t mind). We have sessions to entertain the whole family with Mini Tennis sessions, family time, free play, Cardio Tennis and numerous other exciting activities to get involved in.
We have the perfect fun day out for you right here in the best city in the world. Paris? Rome? I hear you cry, but come on don’t be absurd, they can’t compare with our fair city, as I’m sure you’ll agree after you’ve tried out these amazing free tennis events:
Saturday 12th May
David Lloyd Clubs - West Bridgford and Nottingham, 14.00 - 17.00. Come and enjoy our Open Day with free tennis activities for all ages and abilities. There’ll be sessions for adults and juniors, as well as activities for the family to enjoy together. There will also be the opportunity to try out the equipment in our gym, take a dip in our pools or relax in our café-bar whilst the kids enjoy Arts and Crafts activities.
Nottingham Tennis Centre, 10.30 - 15.30. Are you aged between 3-10yrs? The LTA Roadshow is visiting us with inflatables and tennis activities for you to try. Think fastest serve, the cage and the co-ordination wall. All equipment is provided along with our great team to help you enjoy the session. We will also throw in a fantastic opportunity should you wish to carry on playing tennis with us at Nottingham Tennis Centre. So, tell your friends and join in the fun.
Nottingham Trent University, 14.00-16.00. Come and try some mini tennis and adult coaching sessions. Even if you've never played before come down for a great day out!
Keyworth & District Lawn Tennis Club, 14.00-17.00. FREE and fun tennis event for all the family. We will be offering coaching sessions for Minis (10 and under), Juniors (11-17) and Adults. Or if you prefer to do your own thing, courts will be available for free play or family fun time. We cater for all ages and abilities, and the courts and clubhouse are accessible for wheelchairs.
Kegworth Tennis Club, 12.00-16.00. We will be offering free Mini tennis, Family time, free play and cardio tennis sessions.
Sunday 13th May
Nottingham Castle LTC, 12.00-16.00. Come along and play some tennis and meet our friendly members. We are situated in a beautiful setting close to Nottingham town centre. Food drink and a warm welcome guaranteed!
West Bridgford Tennis Club, 10.00-13.00. Come and join us at our Open Day, and experience why we think Tennis is the best sport in the world!

Mapperley Park Tennis Club, 14.00-16.00. There will be free coaching sessions for juniors and adults, with free refreshments. Anyone joining the club on the day will get a 20% discount on their subscription. If you don't want to take part in the activities, feel free to drop in and get to know the club.

Eastwood LTC, 10.30-15.00. Fun free tennis sessions for all ages and abilities.
