9 players from Dalston, Silloth, Chatsworth and Whitehaven Tennis Clubs shook off the Christmas excess to take part in the Dalston Tennis Club sponsored Mini Orange Beginners event on the fabulous indoor courts of Chatsworth Tennis Club in Carlisle on the 27th of December.

Following on from the recent and very successful Red event this was another chance for young and inexperienced players to get that competitive feeling for Tennis.

Organiser David Wise commented; "This was the ideal way to get back to things after Christmas and there were some very good rallies during the games". "These events are ideal places to start and should now give the players the incentive to get more practice in, develop their games and become players for life".

The next event is this Sunday the 3rd of January. Again, it's for beginners and this time is at Mini Green level.
