Essential Information

Please see below for key information on the club and how to get involved.

All Club members are entitled to use the facilities of the Club at any time, except when there is organised match play, coaching, arranged tournaments, or on Tuesday evenings which is Club Night and then everyone is welcome for club play.

These sessions are publicised by Club Members locally, on our social media and notice boards

Voting.  Members over the age of 18 are entitled to vote at any meeting

 

Non Members / Guests. All members are encouraged to bring non-members/guests to the Club. 

A non-member fee of £3.00 for adults or £1.00 per junior is payable.  This must be passed to the Treasurer.  The member is responsible for ensuring the guest follows Club Rules and any Notices.

 

Club Nights                 

Club Nights will be restarting from 2nd April 2024, every Tuesday evening from 6pm-9pm. All members are welcome, turn up and have a game of doubles with other members who you might not normally see.   Join the Club Night Whats App group ‘TERRINGTON CLUB NIGHTERS’ if you want to keep informed on updates about club nights, who is planning to go each week and call offs due to bad weather. To join the group please send a text request to Ian Collison on 07971 037437. There is also a Men's Winter League which offers competitive tennis throughthe winter between club members, for more information contact Ian on the number above.

Social Play

ON FRIDAYS there is a social group which plays regularly  Contact Peter Coe to be added to the Whats App group on 07810 391505.

 

League Matches                      

The Club also play in the North West Norfolk League and have 4 Mens, 2 Ladies and 2 Mixed Teams.  A list of home match dates, when the courts will be unavailable for general play, will be posted on the ClubSpark Booking system, and we will try and keep the  facebook page and also on the Club notice board updated as well.

 

Court Maintenance and Safety. The court surface is cleaned and repaired annually.   All players  must carry out a visual inspection before play, just to make sure it is safe to play.  If you see anything not quite right please tell us.

Friendly Matches. These are organised form time to time either intra club or against other clubs. This is a good way to have a taste of match format tennis but in a friendly environment. If you would like to get involved please speak to a committee member.

Social Events. The club encourages social events to help members get to know one another and to help raise funds. If you have an idea for an event please contact the committee.

Clubhouse Access to the clubhouse is by key only. All committee members are key holders and the clubhouse will be open on club nights and for home matches. If you would like to be considered for a key then please ask a committee member, being a key holder comes with additional responsibilities. There is a fee for keys, currently £5 non refundable.

Floodlights. Floodlights are switched on inside the club house and if used must be switched off by 9pm to avoid nuisance to our neighbours.
