Court Booking Terms

Tennis Court Terms & Conditions

  1. The tennis courts may only be used for the playing of tennis, unless prior agreement has been obtained from Dacorum Borough Council.
  2. No eating, spitting, chewing gum, dogs or smoking are permitted. Drinks should only be water or sports drinks; any empty bottles or cans should be disposed of in the bins provided. No glass bottles permitted on the courts.
  3. Users must take care to ensure that all personal belongings are taken from site.
  4. Any ‘hirer’ found to be wilfully damaging the tennis courts and surrounding facility, cabin or any other property of Dacorum Borough Council will be banned from any future usage.
  5. Any ‘hirer’ found to be using threatening or offensive behaviour, will be banned from all future usage.
  6. Whilst Dacorum Borough Council and its staff will ensure that the facility is fit for purpose, it will not accept any liability for injury of persons or damage to equipment whilst playing or spectating within the tennis court facility.
  7. Dacorum Borough Council is responsible for the upkeep of the Tennis and Netball courts. This does not relieve each ‘hirer’ of their own obligation to assess the facility at the start of their own booking or of the need to raise any concerns immediately with Dacorum Borough Council. In the event of damage, please contact cleansafeandgreenteam@dacorum.gov.uk. With safety in mind, DBC retains the right to close the facility without notice.
  8. There are toilets available in the Active Dacorum Hub during opening hours (which vary each day), but no changing facilities, all users of the tennis courts will be expected to turn up already changed.
  9. Dacorum Borough Council will not accept liability for any loss or theft of equipment either left or stored within its Adventure Playground Premises.
  10. No bicyes, roller blades, scooters or skateboards or studded footwear allowed.

 

Cancelling Court Bookings

Should you not be able to attend your court booking, individuals are expected to cancel court bookings on ClubSpark to enable the booking slot to be released for the public. Please note that regular offenders failing to turn up for bookings without cancelling will be issued with a 7 day booking ban.

How to cancel a booking:

  1. Visit https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/TheActiveDacorumHub and ensure you are logged into your account 
  2. Click on your name to drop down the menu and select "profile"
  3. Select "manage your court bookings" 
  4. Your court bookings will now be listed with the option to cancel them
