Thurrock Lawn Tennis Club has proudly served the Thurrock community for more than 80 years. Our facilities include three TigerTurf Pro astro courts with Tweener Tennis Court Lighting, alongside a well‑maintained clubhouse featuring a kitchen, men’s and ladies’ changing rooms, accessible toilets, and full wheelchair access to all court areas.

A Welcoming Community

We aim to make tennis accessible to everyone in Thurrock, regardless of age or ability. With over 170 members, new players are always warmly welcomed.

Coaching for All Ages

Our two qualified coaches offer high‑quality, great‑value coaching. They regularly update their training to ensure players benefit from modern techniques and enjoy improved fitness. Full contact details can be found in the coaching section.

Sessions, Socials & Events

We run a wide range of adult and junior coaching sessions, plus fun social activities throughout the year. Our social secretary organises American tournaments and other tournaments throughout the year.

Competitive Tennis

We compete in the local adult leagues with one men’s team, one ladies’ team, and two mixed teams. Please contact League Capains if you are interested in playing in any of these teams.

As an LTA‑affiliated club, we encourage all members to become LTA British Tennis Members.

Supporting Net Zero

We promote walking and car‑sharing to the club and to league matches to support the Government’s 2050 net‑zero target.
