Thurrock Lawn Tennis Club

Thurrock Lawn Tennis Club, a club with over 80 years of history, is located in Grays, Essex.  The Club is very well maintained and owns three astra turf (tiger turf pro) courts complimented by an excellent clubhouse with kitchen, gents and ladies changing rooms, disabled toilet facilities and wheelchair access to all court areas.

Our aim is to encourage the community of Thurrock to play tennis at all levels and age groups. We have over 170 members and new players are always warmly welcomed. 

​​There are 2 qualified tennis coaches who provide excellent tuition at very competitive rates. Their full contact details are supplied in the coaching section. Our coaches subscribe to the latest courses to ensure that players of all ages benefit by learning the more technical aspects of the game and as a bonus, improving their overall fitness! ​

We hold many coaching and social sessions for both adults and Juniors. Our social secretary Jo, also arranges 'American tournaments' throughout the year which we often finish with our famous 'TLTC Tennis Volleyball'.  Jo also offer cardio sessions for adults, children and family. 

We play competitively in the local adult league and currently have 1 men's, 1 ladies and 2 mixed teams. ​

The club is affiliated to the LTA and we urge all our members to become LTA British Tennis Members.

The club also encourages people to walk, car share to our club and league matches to help meet the Government aim to be net zero by 2050. (net-zero-strategy-beis.pdf)
