World Tennis Tour - The Scottish Championships

 

Professional tennis returns to Scotland this month as Glasgow hosts the ITF World Tour.

Spectators can enjoy free entry all week at Scotstoun Leisure Centre as Scottish, British and international players gather for the Scottish Championships.

Top-class action gets underway when the qualifying rounds begin on Sunday, 20 October, before the main draws kick-off on Tuesday, 22 October.

The event culminates in an exciting Finals Weekend, with the men’s and women’s doubles concluding on the Saturday followed by the singles deciders on Sunday, 27 October.

 

A number of Scottish stars are due to feature, including Wimbledon quarter-finalist Maia Lumsden, and TS Open Tour men’s champion Hamish Stewart.

Other well-known British names on the current entry list include Liam Broady, while a host of international players have entered the event, including Lexus Glasgow Challenger champion Clement Chidekh.
