Torquay Tennis Club is proud to be one of the South West’s leading LTA Registered Venues.

The club is steeped in history and continues to provide exceptional tennis opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Based just off the main sea front in Torquay we have immaculate grounds containing 9 Outdoor Courts and 3 Indoor Courts, 2 Mini Courts, a Hitting Wall and 2 New Pickleball Courts as well as a Welcoming Clubhouse to meet new friends and socialise in.

The club has had the pleasure of some very famous tennis players gracing the courts including Judy, Andy and Jamie Murray, Tim Henman, Sue Barker, Valda Lake, Sarah Gomer, David Lloyd, Lucy Ahl and Mike Sangster to name just a few.

Non-members can purchase a Player Plus Package or pay a one-off visitor fee to play as a temporary member/visitor at the club.

Some of the great things happening in our club through 2023;

ASTRO COURTS - 4 new Advantage Pro Tiger Turf courts completed March 2022.
FLOODLIGHTS - we continue to explore ways to upgrade the lights on our courts to LEDs.
SOCIAL TENNIS - our social sessions are aimed at all members of all standards - we want members to mix into these sessions and enjoy tennis with friends - we continue to provide INDOOR courts free of additional charge for all of our social sessions.
COMPETITIVE TENNIS - opportunities to compete through the club ladder - planned box leagues and our teams in local tennis leagues all exist within the club. We also have one day tournaments, club championships and of course the prestigious "Torbay Open" to look forward to.
COACHING PROGRAMME - we all want opportunities to improve - the clubs Coaching Programme in 2023 will offer regular options to all levels of players as well as some further fun group events such as Cardio Tennis, Shot of the Week & Fitness Tennis.
SOCIAL ACTIVITY - after a period of disruption to our social activities, the club is planning several social events throughout 2023. We will be hosting some great Coronation Celebrations over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. This is also a wonderful venue to watch the Red Arrows and their Air Displays from the terrace area of the club this summer. Enjoy the Red Arrows 'Fly Past' as you sip your glass of wine on our terrace or as you play tennis on court and give the pilots a big Tennis Club Wave!
VOLUNTEERS - we offer a number of ways for volunteers to help out in the club and anyone interested in maintenance, social activities, safeguarding or anything else, is welcome to get in touch with the club manager or a member of the Committee.
