Welcome to Tunnels Tennis Club

Introduction

Welcome to Tunnels Tennis Club

A small and friendly club where we believe everyone should enjoy playing tennis whatever their ability

New members welcomed

Tunnels Tennis Club was originally sited at Whipton Sports Field, as the Southern Railway Club. The land was taken over during World War II, for food production. The Club moved  to Mount Pleasant Road (over the main line railway tunnel) where up to 90 members played on 4 doubles and 1 singles court. Further development of the tunnel area meant a move to its current site in Rivermead Road.
