Club Rules

Tysoe Tennis Club courts are available for TENNIS PLAY ONLY from 8.00 am until 22.00 pm. 

ALL OTHER BALL GAMES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

  1. All players MUST book a court in advance and provide their own tennis racquets and balls.  
  2. Junior players.  Tysoe Tennis Club does not provide any supervision or safeguarding of those under the age of 18 whilst they are using the facilities.  It is the responsibility of parents or adult individuals to supervise the safe use of the facilities when children are present or assume responsibility for those playing unsupervised.
  3. League matches will take priority over any other bookings.  Occasionally a league match must be postponed and re-arranged and we reserve the right to contact you to reschedule your booking.
  4. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn on the courts.  Gym shoes or tennis shoes may be worn.
  5. Please lower the nets slightly after play.
  6. Please note there are no public toilets or changing rooms available. 
  7. Use of the floodlights is by arrangement only.  LIGHT TOKENS will be required and cost £3.00 per half hour. Contact The Secretary for more information.  The floodlights turn off automatically at 22.00 pm to comply with the conditions of the planning permission. 
  8. Pay & Play.  Anyone wishing to play tennis on an occasional basis may book and pay for a court.   
  9. Members may book a court at no additional cost.  MEMBERSHIP INFO.  Only Members will be invited to play league matches for the Club and attend Club sessions and activities.  The Committee shall have discretion to refuse a membership application, for whatever reason, if it is deemed to be in the interests of the Club as a whole.
  10. Members may bring a Guest for a maximum of three times a season, at a cost set at the A.G.M.  Contact The Secretary for details.
  11. Group Bookings.  If you represent a group and would like to make a regular booking please contact The Secretary
  12. Winter Use.  Please do not use the courts if there is any snow, ice or frost on the surfaces.  This is for your own safety and to avoid damage to the courts.   If you have made a Pay & Play booking and cannot play because of court conditions please contact The Secretary to rebook.
  13. Only members, pay & play players, and visiting teams, who are playing or umpiring are allowed on court.  
  14. Public users - whether on a FOC or charged court - are responsible for their own activities and Tysoe Tennis Club will not be held responsible for injuries etc however so caused. All facility users are responsible for their own safety, especially during inclement weather or adverse conditions.
  15. Public use prohibits any subsidiary non-Club business activities at Tysoe Tennis Club, including coaching for hire or reward by non-Club affiliated coaches.
