Scott Duncan:

Rob Leck:

2016/17 - Rob debuted on the team with a 5-5 record at number 4 singles. Ended the season by winning the Scottish National Championships and reaching the quarter-final of the BUCS National Individuals singles championships. He also represented the university at the EUSA European Championships in Spain alongside Scott MacAulay and Scott Duncan.

2017/18 - Rob ended the team's League-winning campaign with a 5-4 record at number 3 singles and 2-1 record in doubles as his knee injury improved. He also won the Glasgow British Tour and was runner up at the Bournemouth British Tour.

2018/19 - Rob went on a 6 match winning streak mid-season and ended with a 6-4 singles record at number 4 and 4-1 in doubles. He also attained an ITF singles ranking at the Barnstaple $15k event.

2019/20 - Recovery from surgery saw Rob miss the start of the season but he finished with a 3-3 record at number 2 singles and with a 4-3 record in doubles, partnering Scott MacAulay.



Scott Macaulay:

Glasgow, Scotland, 5/08/1995, Right-handed - double-handed backhand, Postgraduate, Sports Psychology, year 2

 

2014/15 – Scott finished playing professional football for Aberdeen Football Club in the summer of 2014 and attended the University of Stirling in September of that year. He finished his first year with an undefeated record for the second team and represented the university at the EUSA European Championships in Poland alongside Scott Duncan and Jose Maria Fantova.

2015/16 – Scott finished his second year with another undefeated year in the second team with a 14-0 record, and a 19-5 overall record for the year. He also reached the final of the BUCS National Doubles Championship, partnering Scott Duncan.

2016/17 – Scott was part of the first team that lost in the final of the BUCS National Team Championships. He reached the quarter-finals of the BUCS National Singles Championships and the semi-final of the doubles event, partnering Reuben Henry. Furthermore, he won the Scottish Indoor doubles event partnering Reuben Henry and was runner up in the singles. Finally, he represented the university at the EUSA European Championships in Spain alongside Rob Leck and Scott Duncan, finishing 5th.

2017/18 – Scott was part of the team that lost in the final of the BUCS National Team Championship. However, he was part of the team that won the BUCS National League for the first time during his university career. Furthermore, he once again won the Scottish Indoor doubles event partnering Kieran Macarty and was runner up in the singles. He played in the ATP Glasgow Challenger (Murray Trophy) doubles with Reuben Henry. Additionally, he represented the university in his third EUSA European Championships in Portugal. Finally, he graduated with an Honours degree in Sociology and Criminology.

 2018/19 – Scott started his postgraduate degree in Psychology of Sport in September 2018. He was part of the team that finished runner up in their third BUCS National Team Championship where he was undefeated in Championship matches. Alongside fellow University of Stirling scholars Scott Duncan, Rob Leck, and Reuben Henry, he won the Scottish Cup for his home club, Newlands LTC.

2019/20 – Scott was injured for much of the 2019/20 season which restricted him to only 13 matches during the season. After his return from injury, he was part of the team that staved off relegation in the final two matches at the BUCS Super Weekend at the National Tennis Centre in London. Finally, Scott graduated with a postgraduate MSc in the Psychology of Sport.

Jed Alexander: 

Dundee, Scotland, 01/11/2000, 177cm, Right-handed - two-handed backhand, Undergraduate, Management, year 2, 2nd Team Captain          

 

2018-19 Jed joined the university in September 2018 where he took up the role as 2nd team captain, leading the team to the BUCS Scottish 1A title and promotion to the BUCS Premier North League. He also played in his second Winter County Cup, going undefeated to help his North of Scotland county team get promoted while representing them at the following Summer County Cup. He won the Scottish Student Sport (SSS) tennis singles and doubles titles in St Andrews, with his partner Angus Osborne.

2019-20: He continued his role as 2nd team captain, helping the team aloud relegation in the BUCS Premier North. Jed had a good run in the Stirling British Tour to start 2020 while defending his singles title at the SSS event in St. Andrews and qualifying for BUCS Individuals Finals. Along with his partner, Angus, he also helped the university reach the National Premier League finals through a playoff where they were victorious in their 3 playoff matches.



Jack Oswald: 

England, 24, Undergraduate, year 4   

 



Harry Mouratidis: 

Glasgow, Scotland. 19, 1.82m  Right handed, two handed backhand.  Undergraduate, Sport Studies, year 2     

 

2018-19 Harry joined the university in September 2018 and played 2nd team finishing the season unbeaten, which resulted in team success winning the BUCS Scottish 1A title and promotion to the BUCS Premier North League. Harry transitioned from Junior to Mens county playing Summer County Cup for West of Scotland resulting in promotion for the county team. He won regional TS500 and was runner up with fellow scholar Scott Macaulay in the West of Scotland Open Championships. He captained his local team to Scottish Cup finals playing with fellow scholar James Mackinlay.        

2019-20: Harry continued playing for Stirling 2nd team, helping the team to stay in Premier North Division and reached the semi finals of BUCS Trophy.  He also qualified for BUCS Individuals Finals.  He represented West of Scotland in Winter County Cup helping the team win the group for promotion and won TS 500 at the start of the winter season.


Patrick Young:

Aberdeen, Scotland, 31/03/2001, 191cm, Right handed - double handed backhand, Undergraduate, Accountancy and Finance, year 1   

 

2019-20: Patrick played most of his matches in his first year at Stirling university for the second team, helping them stay in the BUCS Premier North division and reach the semi-finals of the Bucs Trophy. He finished the season with an 8-3 singles record and a 4-5 doubles record when playing for the 2s. He also represented the North of Scotland at winter county cup helping them stay in division 3 for next year.


Dorian Kos:

Ireland, 14/12/1996, 182cm, Right-handed - one-handed backhand, Undergraduate, Sport Studies, year 1

 

2019-20: Dorian's first season was a success. He won 2 Tennis Scotland Open Tour 500 events in Stirling. He was a valuable part of the 2nd team that finished mid-table in the BUCS National Premier North and helped the 3rd team win the BUCS Scottish 1a division.



Matthew Earnshaw:

England, 21, Undergraduate, Sport Studies, year 3

Angus Osborne:

Leicestershire, England, 20/01/00, 194cm, Right-handed - single-handed backhand. Undergraduate, Management, Year 2.

2018/19: Angus played the majority of his BUCS matches for the 2nd team, helping them to the BUCS Scottish 1A title and to promotion. He won the Scottish Student Sport Doubles title with his partner, Jed Alexander, and was runner up in the Singles. He was also runner up in the TS1000 Doubles event, partnering Kieran Macarty.

2019/20: Angus took up the captaincy of Stirling University’s NPL team, reaching the National Play-Offs at Loughborough University where he, together with his partner, Jed, won 3 out of 3 matches to qualify for the National Finals in September 2020. He also took up the role of BUCS 3rd team captain, leading his team to the BUCS Scottish 1A title.  At the 2020 British Tour Stirling,  Angus performed strongly, winning 3 matches, and has represented Leicestershire in their County Men's Team in both Winter and Summer County Cups since the age of 17.
