Recently at this year’s Tennis Cornwall's awards, Katia was awarded the "Most Improved Girl" trophy. The category covers girls aged between 8yrs-18yrs from the whole of Cornwall.

Katia spent many hours during 2024 practicing on Veryan’s courts with the help of Mike Erskine who played a huge role in Katia making such a dramatic improvement.
