LTA Tutor & Level 4 Senior Club Coach

I have over 25 years experience working as a Senior Club Coach in Wales and in the North West.

I have ran successful club programmes that benefit the whole community,  running programmes and sessions that collaborate with partners and create opportunities for all ages and abillities to start to play and develop their game of tennis.  I believe that sport and tennis in particular teaches life skills and that everyone can fulfil their potential whatever that may be.  I teach the person in front of me not the player which enables me to try to find the best programme that works for you.  I am particularly passionate about helping to improve female representation in sports and believe that female rold models are essential to improve female participation.

I was Welsh coach of the year in 2009 and Mold Tennis Club, where I was Head Coach for 20 yrs won Tennis Wales Club of the year in 2011.  I have also won awards for diversity and inclusion and was particularly proud of picking up my Tennis Wales Volunteer of the year in 2019 for the work that i did on the Tennis Wales Board, North Wales Management committee. 

I am a qualified LTA tutor who has been delivering coach education qualifications and CPD courses  across North Wales for many years.  I love to mentor new coaches and pride myself in building a team ethos.  

I have a huge amount of experience managing individual player programmes, including goal setting, scheduling of tournaments and annual planning. As a former County Performance officer, I have also worked with players of a very high level who have played in some of the worlds top events.  I am currently a North Wales County Captain for several age groups and was previously the coordinator for the entire county programme.  

As a player, i have  represented Wales internationally at junior, adult and senior level tennis and still play for Wales and North Wales.  

I am also an R5 qualified Official.
