12U Dorset Youth League :-  Victoria Avenue played West Hants  on Sunday 18th May. It turned out to be an epic match with some unbelievable tennis being played by both sets of players.  It took over five and a half hours for the winners of the match to emerge, with the rubbers going one way and then seesawing the other.
Martin lost Alexandra, then Teo took two and a half hours to defeat Joshua 6-4, 6-7(2), 10-2There was no splitting Samuel and Tylor as they went on to defeat Shantanu and Jack 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 10-6. Teo and Martin lost a well contested double to Josh and Alexandra 2-6, 3-6.  

That left two singles to be played.  Tylor won a fantastic match to Jack. Going into the final singles, can Victoria Avenue win or will West Hants take it to a shoot-out.  The first set went to Shantanu and West Hants 6-4; but Samuel did not know when he is beaten and took the second set 6-1.  On to the match tie break, it could not be closer with Samuel edging it 14-12.  

Victoria Avenue had done it, the win keeps them top of the league.
