12U National League: University of Bath vs Victoria Avenue

Time: 12:00-16:00 on 23rd March 2024

It was the toughest possible start to our 2024 season, where we had to play Bath in the 12U National League. Despite having a strong Victoria Avenue squad this year, there were some very hard matches, all playing against higher ranked opponents. The team were unlucky to go 4-0 down in the singles with of the 2 matches being lost in match tie-breaks, and the other two highly competitive. Going into the doubles the team knew that they were both dead rubbers, so played hard however just wanted to have fun at the same time. The team came close in one of the doubles, however yet again lose in the match breaker. In the other one we lost in straight sets against a top pairing. The team look forward to their next match which is against Swansea on 5th May, where on paper, the teams will be very evenly matched.
