U12 Boys National League Match Report Saturday 9th May

A huge well done goes to Tylor, Jack, Jake and Malachy, who represented Victoria Avenue in the U12 Boys National League match against Manor Park Sports Club on Saturday 9th May 2026.

The match started at 11.15am at Victoria Avenue, with the boys playing four singles matches and two doubles matches in lovely sunny weather.

There was brilliant effort, enthusiasm and determination from all the players throughout the morning. The boys put in a great performance and, although Manor Park Sports Club won overall, the scores really didn’t reflect the quality of the match play. There were some fantastic rallies, close games and plenty of determined tennis on court.

A special mention goes to Jack, who put in a really strong performance to win his singles match.

The sound of Tylor’s ball whizzing through the air and going straight through the gate - yes, it had been left open - into the bushes was a particular highlight! 

The post-match tea was another one, so a big thank you to the parents for organising it. One of the visiting mums even said it was the best match tea they had ever had, so we will definitely take that as a win!

Well done again to Tylor, Jack, Jake and Malachy. You all represented Victoria Avenue brilliantly.
