Whats On At VP

Social Tennis 

Victoria Park holds three weekly social tennis sessions, which take place all year round, weather permitting. These sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6pm, and Saturday afternoons at 2pm, the latter followed by tea and cakes. These are doubles sessions open to adult players of all abilities.

We encourage new members to attend these sessions when they first join, and prospective members are welcome to come along to one or two sessions, by prior arrangement with the Membership Secretary. There is no pressure and you will get to play with a variety of players of all ages, abilities and personalities! The emphasis is to mix in and have fun, practise your shots and enjoy your tennis!

For those who wish to build up their confidence before attending, we run a series of adult group coaching sessions on a Sunday morning - ranging from beginner, to improver, to intermediate.

League Tennis

Victoria Park currently fields five men's teams, two ladies' teams and two mixed teams in the Exeter and District Summer Tennis League and East Devon Tennis League.  The men currently have three teams in the top two divisions, and a couple of other teams lower down to enable as many as possible to experience league tennis. The women's teams currently compete in divisions 2 & 3.

How to get involved?

Team Practice sessions are held on Monday evenings from 6pm for ladies and 7.30pm for men.

VP Events

02.05.26 - New Members Open Day

Our new members open day is taking place on the afternoon of Saturday May 2nd from 3pm. Food will be available and the bar will be open. Members of the committee will be on hand to answer any questions you might have ... and all courts have been booked out until 6pm. Current members welcome also! We look forward to seeing you.

03.05.26 - Annual Grounds Maintenance Day

One the Sunday morning (from 9am) we will be running our annual grounds maintenance day. Weeding, Painting, Cleaning, Pruning - this is a great chance to help out the club and keep the grounds looking great for the summer. All our welcome and we may reward you with coffee and cakes mid-morning!

16.05.26 - Junior Road to Wimbledon

Jon Rycroft will be holding the Victoria Park Junior Road to Wimbledon event on Saturday May 16th at 4pm until about 7pm. 

This is a fun singles event for boys and girls (members only) who are comfortable playing a match and can serve and rally. 

Although if your child does win the event and goes through to the South West Finals, then they need to obtain or already have an LTA rating. This just requires registering and playing one local sanctioned event. 

Players must be 14 or under on the day of the event (born between 2012 - 2015).  £10 to enter.
