Job Description
Solihull Arden Club are investing close to a quarter of a million pounds in a brand new Padel facility, initially comprising of 3 outdoor courts, with planning approval also for a fourth court. Our vision is to bring the world’s fastest growing sport to the Solihull Borough. We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic coach to build our Padel membership from 0 to 200 members within 3 years.
Overview of the Venue
Solihull Arden Club is a thriving members club with over seven hundred members. We have thirteen outdoor tennis courts, six indoor squash courts, a gym, health suite, a large function room, a bar and 3 brand new Padel courts. We offer a standalone Padel membership as well as combined memberships. We will also be offering pay & play. We are a friendly, inclusive club with a good mix of adults and juniors of all capabilities.
Person Specification
We need more than just a coach. We are looking for someone to enthusiastically help us build the business which includes recruiting new members, converting existing members to Padel, approaching schools and local businesses to sell the Padel experience. As well as providing engaging coaching to both adults and juniors with both individual and group sessions, you will also organise internal leagues and tournaments to increase member engagement with Padel.
This is a genuinely exciting role for the right individual to build a compelling personal CV whilst building the best Padel club in the Midlands.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and personable Padel coach to build the business for the world’s fastest growing sport. You will provide individual and group lessons. The coach will need experience of coaching junior and adult racket sports. The sport is new to many of our members and we are looking for the coach to engage and improve performance across all capabilities. A business acronym with confidence around implementing a brand-new marketing strategy to entice new members is desirable.
The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 requires employers to carry out background checks on those who would work with children or vulnerable adults, therefore an Enhanced DBS will be carried out as part of checks along with two employment references.
