After being postponed from earlier in the summer the Ladies Over 55’s final group match was played against Yorkshire on Sunday 10 th September at Kenilworth Tennis Club.

Jane Hunter from Yorkshire who has won all her matches proved too strong for Jette Cowan with a convincing 6-0 6-0 victory, Rachel Taylor battled the other singles which was a long match despite another loss for Warwickshire 6-2 6-3.

Mel Jennings and Kate Perkins as an experienced doubles pair secured Warwickshire’s only victory of the day in the first doubles winning 6-2 6-3, unfortunately despite a very close match they could not quite win their second one losing 6-1 6-4.
Jette and Rachel teamed up to play their doubles only just losing a very tight match on the Championship Tie break.
Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon’s tennis and the rain held off until tea was served!
