Summer Tennis Camps for the Children of Local Primary School.

WTMTC offered the tennis facilities to pupils of local Primary Schools at Kirkby Malzeard and West Tanfield for tennis camps during the Summer Holidays.

Sarah Taylor, the head at St Nicholas Primary School and Kirkby Malzeard CE school, wrote thanking the WTMTC  committee for giving her pupils the opportunity to play tennis during the summer holidays.  She wrote:

The overall feedback was excellent.

The children loved the opportunity to play tennis in the village over the holidays.

Responses were as followed:

It was really fun, lots of my friends were there so I could play tennis with them too.

Really good. I got to improve my technique over the weeks and practise.. I got to play against my Mum too and I beat her.

It was great! I went down three times. I got to play with my Mum and brother, but also, I got to see my friends too. We had a lot of fun.

It was really good and sociable too. We'd message and then all meet there and then had ice cream and went on the park.

Really good - I got to play with my friends and my dad. I'd definitely liek to do it again.

A huge thank you for this opportunity for our children. They obviously love it and are very enthusiastic about tennis.
