13. Welfare / Safeguarding

Rory confirmed that there have been no issues relating to Safeguarding.  All paperwork is up to date and he has started a self-assessment as this has not been done recently.  He has added a photo policy this year and it was asked that all members are happy to have photos taken as these are sometimes shared on the group app.  If anybody is not happy with this then please advise.  Simon suggested that a poster should be place in the clubhouse advising that the club is complying with LTA policy and Rory will do.

If anyone has any safeguarding issues or concerns or who witnesses any potential issues, please contact Rory at the earliest opportunity

Any injuries whilst at the club need to be reported via the accident book and also highlighted to RF.  This is to be hung on the notice board and then all members know where it is.

14. Club Events

Lockdown Cup – Simon is happy to run this event again this year and he was thanked for his organizing of this event

We will also organize some American Tournaments again this year and also the annual Cricket match which is always good fun.

15. A.O.B.

Henry was thanked for all he does for the tennis club.

Thanks were given to Adrian for his work as Secretary over the last few years.

Bill was thanked for his involvement in the Monday/Thursday club night and welcoming new players.

The nearest Defib is the one that is located at the Railway Station and a map will be placed in the clubhouse to indicate the location.  There is also one near the bowling club.  Rory advised that there is a You Tube video on how to use it should members wish to watch it.

Peter Gill asked if the Insurance Policy should be displayed in the clubhouse and Rory will follow this up.

It was proposed that a Ladies D team should be entered into the East Lancs League due to the number of ladies that are keen to play matches.  Anne-Louise also suggested entering a Mixed team in the league and both these were agreed.
