Indoor Courts Slippy

As many of you are aware the indoor courts can be slippy in places at this time of the year. Unfortunately there is little to be done to prevent it.  It only happens a few times when it is very cold then goes warm and the condensation drips onto the courts. If you are a non member booking indoor courts then please be advised.

We have looked into a solution many times and the only way we can stop it is by having another membrane fitted inside the canvas roof or replace the existing roof. Extremely expensive for the few times we experience it with no 100% guarantee that it will stop it.

The club issued a warning out to all members last week on WhatsApp groups and we have ordered the signs again 'Slippy when Wet' to put on the indoor nets. Putting old socks over your trainers works a treat but they are obviously ruined afterwards.

The only thing we can suggest is that the Captains check out the courts before any matches and call off if in any doubt. Individuals will need to make a judgement and decide if they are palayable at their own risk, just like playing on the outdoor courts in the rain. We can only encourage players to make their own decisions really or else the courts would be closed for a lot of the winter months.

The Coaches will continue to make the decision for classes and cancel if needed. If anyone has any ideas or want me to add anything then kindly let me know please on whatsapp 07785 238096.
