Young Adult     19 – 22

All membership fees must be paid by the end of February each year. Failure to pay by this date will indicate that membership is no longer required.

Membership includes entry to the Club’s internal summer, winter and 140 tournaments.

Adult and social members who are parents, guardians or responsible adults of teen, junior and mini members are responsible for their children, both in the booking of and/or playing on the court.

Membership is only open to those under 18 years of age if at least one parent, guardian or responsible adult is a full or social member of the Club.

Members and guests must be 14 years or over to play without supervision and, in the case of anyone aged 14-18, only with the permission of their parent, guardian or responsible adult.

A list of member contact details will be made available to members on a regular basis. This information must not be used for anything other than Club business, in order to comply with data protection laws.

2. Court Bookings

Courts are booked using the Club’s online booking system: www.clubspark.lta.org.uk/WooreTennisClub/booking

Subject to availability, courts can be used between the hours of 7am and 10pm. The latest time a court can be booked is 9pm. All lights, internal and external, are on timers, and will automatically switch off at 10pm.

Bookings are for a maximum of two hours and may be made at half hourly intervals. At least one player must be a club member.

Bookings are not allowed during periods reserved for Club Night(s)/Morning(s), Club Tournament Finals, or Club Junior Coaching sessions.

Courts can be booked up to eight days in advance.

To encourage and assist young members, social members, who are the parents or guardians of/responsible adults for teen or junior members aged 14 to 18, may book a court and play with their teen(s), or junior(s). In this instance a guest fee will not apply as is normally the case for our non-playing social membership category (see item 4 below, relating to Guests, for further information).

Social members, who are parents or guardians of/responsible adults for mini or junior members up to the age of 13, can view the online court booking page to identify free court time and if available may play with their mini(s) or junior(s). However, the court must be vacated if any full paying member arrives to play.  If the social member is playing, then no guest fee will apply.

To maximise junior practice play, social members, who are parents or guardians of/responsible adults for teen or junior members (aged 14-18), may book a court for their teen(s) or junior(s) without the need to be present on court while they play.

If for any reason you cannot play when you have made a booking, you must immediately cancel your booking to allow other members the opportunity to use the time.

Floodlights are operated by tokens; these can be purchased from one of the listed token holders (details available in the Clubhouse). The token meters are located in the Clubhouse, complete with instructions for their use.

3. Court Care and Etiquette

Appropriate tennis wear and non-marking tennis shoes must be worn at all times by players.

Net measurers are provided to ensure correct net height prior to play. When play is finished please loosen the tension of the net and lock the gate with coded padlock when leaving the court. The code will be provided to members and updated periodically. The code is not to be shared with anyone who is not a Club member.

Floodlights will extinguish automatically a few minutes after tokens have expired. Players should gather belongings and exit the court promptly.

If it is necessary to use a mobile phone, please be aware of players on the other court.

No photography or filming of players on court should take place without their permission.

4. Site Access and Management

Access to the Club is via the track from the main road. The gate should be propped open using the post provided. If you are the last player(s) on site, please close the gate when leaving.

Cars should be parked on the areas of tarmac in front of and to the side of the Clubhouse. The hardcore area is for turning only and the farm track access must be kept clear at all times.

The door to the Clubhouse is secured by a coded security lock. The code will be provided to members and updated periodically. The code is not to be shared with anyone who is not a Club member.

Last player(s) leaving the site should ensure all doors and gates are locked and all lights, internal and external, are switched off.

Please report any issues concerning access, maintenance etc. to one of the key contacts shown on the Club Notice Board, located in the Clubhouse.

Rubbish is to be placed in the bins provided or removed from site. This is your Club so please take good care of it and ensure that both courts and Clubhouse are left clean and tidy.

5. Guests

Guests are welcome to play with Club members. All guest names must be entered in the Guest Book, located in the Clubhouse, BEFORE play, for insurance purposes.

A £5 fee is payable each time a guest plays at the Club. Payment should be made using one of the envelopes provided next to the Guest Book in the Clubhouse and should be marked with the member’s name then deposited in the locked post box on the exterior wall of the Clubhouse. Alternatively, payment can be given to the Treasurer, either directly or via a committee member.

Guests cannot book a court.

It is the responsibility of members bringing guests to ensure the correct footwear is worn and the rules are adhered to.

Social members wishing to play may do so as guests and all guest rules apply.

6. Risk

Members and guests play at their own risk.  Woore Tennis Club Committee takes no responsibility for theft or damage to personal property.
