Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan, both Ex Davis Cup Players came to Worplesdon Tennis Club on Monday 5th for a wonderful day's tennis. Danny and Luke ran some coaching masterclasses in the morning for members of the three clubs Worplesdon, Normandy and Pirbright. There were all ages on court - from 4 to 74, and whereas the 12 little ones learned co-ordination skills, the teenagers and Adults were drilled in doubles tactics ... will we remember them?
There was a BBQ and Quiz of Wimbledon Champions which kept most people happily occupied whilst enjoying the sun with a glass of something in their hands.
Finally, Danny and Luke then gamely took part in a number of short Exhibition Matches with members of the clubs who had paid to partner them - there were various standards but the experience of playing with them was much appreciated by all.
Funds from the day will be put back in to coaching activities at the clubs.
