Lynn Moore finally triumphed over Sarah Hamilton in the Ladies Singles on Finals Day recently - Sarah had won the title almost every year she had entered since the club began ... some 24 years ago - quite an achievement. Lynn had regularly made the final but on too many occasions was runner-up. This year she won in straight sets and Sarah said she was pleased "to have got that over ... the pressure was getting to her!". The pair joined together to win the Ladies doubles against Pai Holbrow and Joan Palmer, and Lynn joined with partner Darius Kvitnickas to win the mixed doubles beating Colin Christy and Pai Holbrow, who together also won the Vets.
The Men's champion was Alistair Kemp, who beat new member Ethan Clements. Alistair and Doug Hamilton also won the mens doubles against runners-up Jesus Mouzo and Darius Kvitnickas.
It was a glorious day with a good turn out to watch the matches and to take part in the fun American tournament which took place for those not involved in the finals.
