David Weller and Joe Shields visited Wimbledon with 4 school children from Shepway for an experience of a lifetime!
The children, parents and coaches were taken behind the scenes and given a tour of Wimbledon. They were also taken through a really fun on-court session with the famous Dan Bloxham (leads the finalists onto court in the main event and is a fantastic tennis coach!).
We've been working with the tennis charity 'Give It Your Max' to take tennis into primary schools locally for the last year and a half.
David, Joe, Nick and Josh have been delivering the lessons weekly to 2 different year groups each term. This year we will have reached approximately 1300 children because of this initiative and we are seeing more children take up weekly lessons at Hythe LTC as a direct result of this.
