NOTES FOR CAPTAINS

You should by now have seen our new website and Captains Guide:

This will take you through the new LTA competition website. Please let us know if there's anything you are not clear about or you think needs adding/ rewording. 

Ensure you have read through the ADTL RULES in particular:

Rule 3: No-Ad deuce

Rule 7: Results should be entered within 72 hours or a note if the match is postponed.  Please note that there is no longer the facility to "confirm" matches, however it is the responsibility of the losing captain (away captain in the case of a draw) to check the results.

ALL PLAYER ELIGIBILITY RULES: Rules 18 - 24.

Captains and players should all be aware of these.

Rule 27: If a match cannot be completed.

Rule 28: Walkovers and one pair matches. We would urge captains to try and reschedule if possible if there are any issues because there are so few matches in the summer season. If an opposition says that they can only field one pair, you should still field two pairs. In this way you are guaranteed at least a draw.

VETS COMPETITION:

Please note the update to rule 19: 

19). A player may not play in a Veterans match if they have played in any Division 1 Womens, Mens or Mixed match in the current or last two seasons (Winter or previous Summer Leagues).

This includes a player who has played up in division 1- they are not eligible for a Vets match. 

MATCH START TIMES

Please note that some clubs need an earlier start time because of floodlight restrictions: please make sure you have noted this. Chesham Bois would like to note that, although they do not have an earlier start time, they do have a floodlight cut-off at 22.00. All players should arrive promptly and be aware that the warmup time will be limited.

The new site asks for an arrival time, some fixtures secretaries have set this for 10-15 mins before the start time, some have not. No one is bound by the arrival time; only the start time.
