Hopefully it covers everything you need but if you think there is anything missing or that needs clarifying, please let us know. Hopefully you have all found entering results easier than before once you have got used to the new system.

LTA ISSUES

SCORES: As you will have noticed, the rubbers are not being recorded correctly in the scoring display.  The sets/ games and points are all correct and we have asked the LTA to look into this.  The KO cup matches are displaying correctly.

This is now sorted!

RETIREMENTS: These are not inputting as they should.  Our captains guide says the following:

If a team retires, they will keep any games they have won and then the remaining 6 games are awarded to the opposition. 

Currently the system will not allow the 6 games to be awarded to the opposition.  Please add the actual score in games for now at the point of retirement and we will amend this once the LTA have sorted it.  Make sure you add a note to explain what happened/ the scores.

Please note:  Abandoned matches are also not scoring correctly; another one for the LTA

WALKOVERS: Unlike last season, when there is a walkover, all sets/ games are currently being awarded to the opposition; we are unsure whether this will be amended.  Please see below for walkover protocol.

REMINDERS

NOTES:  Please note, any notes on match cannot be added by captains after the results so please add anything before entering the scores.

Please remember to add notes for anything that happens during the match e.g. reasons for walkovers, postponements, unknown players etc.  If you forget, your Fixtures Secretary can add a note for you.

RESULTS:  As per rule 7, results should be entered within 72 hours please.  If you are going to be away, please ask the opposition captain to do it or your Fixtures Secretary otherwise we will not know what is going on and end up chasing results.

WALKOVER PROTOCOLS:  A reminder of the rule for walkovers in the summer season:

In the Summer Season a team may concede one walkover and play one one-pair match, or two one-pair matches.

Although captains do not have to allow a postponement at the request of a captain, we would hope, for sporting reasons, that captains would do what they can to allow a match to be rescheduled if the reason and notice given is reasonable.  This is particularly in the summer season when there is only half the number of ADTL matches and there is still plenty of time.  Matches can be played at any time if necessary including weekends.  Please avoid September at this stage to allow for bad weather.  The end of this season is Sunday 21st September.

UNKNOWN PLAYERS:  Another reminder that all players should be affiliated to the club before they play in a match.  Please remind your membership secretary to ensure that their members section on the LTA Venue Site is up to date. Any queries they can ask us.
