Introduction
Affinity Tennis is run by Yvonne Arlott, a LTA level 3 accredited+ coach who has coached at various venues across Cornwall, including Wadebridge Tennis Club, Heron and the Point at Polzeath, before taking on a coaching position at St Austell Tennis club for 6 years. Yvonne provided indvidual and group tennis coaching services to beginner, intermediate and club players of all ages from toddlers to adults. During her time at St Austell Tennis club Yvonne also built up a successful walking tennis session, which is a new way to play tennis where the ball can bounce twice and no running or jumping is allowed.
Yvonne strongly believes tennis is an amazing sport that anyone of any age can learn, enjoy and get a lot out of whether playing competitively or just enjoying the social side and health benefits it affords and as such is really keen to introduce more people to the sport and hopefully help them get as much out of it as she has. Yvonne also has experience coaching both adult and junior inclusive groups and wheelchair players and is keen to help people enjoy tennis whatever their circumstances. When coaching, her aim is to pass on a love of tennis in a fun way whilst helping players perform to their full potential.
Currently Yvonne is providing a few sessions at Wadebridge Leisure Centre which can be booked online through their site. The sessions will take place in their badminton hall and will include parent and toddler, mini tennis for ages 5 to 8 years old and touchtennis for adults.
