On Sunday15th June 2016, the Club took part in the LTA's 'Great British Tennis Weekend, a nationwide campaign of open days aimed at getting more people to play tennis by offering them the opportunity to play tennis for free.

Following various promotional activity we opened our doors to the local community on what was a gorgeous sunny day.  Club members waiting racquets in hand to greet our visitors, make them feel welcome and play some tennis with them.

What a great day it was, the sun hung bright in the sky and visitors came a plenty, a very pleasing turnout of adults and children.  Our members did a great job in meeting and greeting and it was nice to see so many people having fun - it was difficult to tell who was having more fun at times, our members or our visitors!!

A really successful day and one of the highlights of the year so far, we must have done something right as we aleady had a number of people join us on the back of the event.
