Amateur Tennis League in King's Lynn
Every year Atl-Tennis organise four men's single tournaments in King's Lynn
- Spring
- Summer
- Autumn
- Winter
Tournament Format
The players will be split in groups of 5 to 9 (Round Robin).
Every player in each group will play against every single player from his group.
Match format for men's single is best 2 of 3 sets.
The best two players from each groups will continue in a knockout round. The rest players will not stop their attendance and will play in lucky looser knockout round and try to win more points for the ranking.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT ROUND ROBIN RATING!!!
If any two or more players have the same amount of wins, We then look at the amount of games lost.
POINT SYSTEM
- Winner - 500 pts
- Finalist - 350 pts
- Semi Finals - 300 pts
- Quarter Finals- 250 pts
- Last 16 Finals - 200 pts
Lucky looser knockout round
- Winner - 170 pts
- Finalist - 150 pts
- Semi finals - 145 pts
- Quarter finals - 140 pts
- Last 16 finals - 135 pts
If there is enough players only for 1 group of 8 or 9 players, at the end of Round Robin first two players will play a final match. The points for the ranking for the rest players will be:
- 3rd - 4th place - 300 pts
- 5th - 9th place - 250 pts
PRIZES ONLY FOR THE WINNER AND FINALIST 9 (NOT LUCKY LOOSER WINNER AND FINALIST)
After every tournament the ranking will be updated
DRAW
Draw will be made before every tournament.
Atl-Tennis will put the draw on the facebook page and on the website.
Email and phone messages with next opponent with their contact details will be send to all players.
MATCH ORGANISATION
It is responsibility of the players to arrange a time/date/venue that suits both parties to play the matches. Both players are responsible for paying the court fee. It is responsibility of the players to provide and share the cost of the tennis balls for each match. If one player provide old balls and the other player provide new balls, they must play with the new balls. (Atl-Tennis will provide balls for the final only)
Every match in the tournament must be played within 10 days.
If a problem arise and the game does not go ahead, all players have to contact Atl-Tennis and explain the situation. If there is a time another day for the match will be arrange.
When they have finish the match They have to send message on facebook, phone message or email with the score, so Atl-Tennis can update the tournament table. After that Atl-Tennis will send them another message with next opponent.
PAYMENT
Cost of the league will be £10 and you can book your place through that website.
RESPONISBILITY
Atl-Tennis have no responsibility if some of the players get injured during tournaments. If You have a medical problems contact Your G.P. for advice.
