MAY BANK HOLIDAY CHARITY WALK

Patrick Crabtree

As many of you will know, Patrick Crabtree, a long-standing player, previous Chairman and former head-BBQ'er at the Club was diagnosed with stage 3 oesophageal cancer in April 2021.

Since then, he has undergone 4 unsuccessful rounds of chemo and immunotherapy at The Royal Marsden and is now undergoing a further round of chemotherapy to try and prevent the growth of the tumour.

His daughter, Florence, is organising a charity walk on the Bank Holiday weekend of 1st & 2nd May to raise money for the oesophageal fund of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, through which he has been both treated, and supported & cared for at home.

We/She would love for as many of you to support this as possible, either by donating or ideally, by joining the walk and adding to the fundraising effort yourselves.

If you're not able to walk but would like to join in, she has organised for people to meet for drinks at the Coach and Horses in Barnes at the end of Sunday and we hope that Patrick will be there to join for a drink or two!
