In beautiful sunshine this Saturday, 21 participants competed in the inaugural BTC Fast-4 Singles Tournament. Their experience ranged from that of super-coach Remi Carriot down to brand new members who were meeting people for the first time.

A total of 42 matches were played, with competitors playing between 3 and 5 matches each, depending on which round they entered into the draw.

Throughout the day there were some epic, closely-fought battles: one even included a 10-9 third set Championship Tie Break! Nerves of steel were needed at 9-9, the sudden-death deciding point.

The Main Draw was won by Remi Carriot, defeating new member Jack Trattles 4-1 4-0 in the final. He took home an Amazon Voucher and an engraved pint glass to enjoy a cold beer from that evening! The Consolation Draw was won by Ijaz Khan, a new member of only one month’s standing, who also took home an Amazon voucher to show off to his family.
