Missing tennis balls

This is a reminder to all members that the tennis balls in the drawers in the porch are for ORGANISED SOCIAL TENNIS SESSIONS ONLY, as is clearly labelled, and not for doubles or singles games that are organised privately by members. You need to provide your own balls for this.

We restocked the drawers with new tins a couple of weeks ago and it appears that some of these have gone missing. Also, two tubes of new balls left out for a match last Sunday, clearly labelled with the captain’s name on, were taken and replaced with two tubes of used balls.

Unfortunately, this means we will now be locking the drawers. They will be opened on a Sunday morning by one of the committee members who is playing.

We have cameras installed for security reasons and we will be checking them on a more regular basis in future. In the meantime, if there has been a misunderstanding about the provision of balls for private use, maybe the person/people concerned would like to replace the balls they have taken, no questions asked. Thank you.

And now to more pleasant items:
